18.11.2009 - New Science to Appear in Russia

New science, a synthesis of nanotechnologies, biotechnologies, information and cognitive technologies, will soon appear in Russia, scientists claim.
      
      The compilation of nano-, bio, information and cognitive technologies is the foundation for creating revolutionary renewable resources and technologies, based upon nature and advanced technologies.
      
      Russian scientists have acquired a new research facility, called NBIC (according first letters of involved technologies), which consists of a nanotechnology department, a modernized synchrotron radiation source, a research neutron rector IR-8 and a supercomputer for data processing and storage.
      
      New science will allow creating a new platform for designing new pharmaceuticals, as well as working with human genome, scientists say.
