|Air France and Aeroflot code share has come into effect on the September, 20. Now the companies sell tickets for popular directions in common.
The air carriers signed a code-sharing agreement in March, 2010. Now the AirFrance sells tickets for six Aeroflot's Russian domestic services. They are regular flights between Moscow (SVO) and Khabarovsk, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Yekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Nizhnevartovsk and return flights.
In its turn, Aeroflot (ÐÒÑ: AFLT) has got a right to sell tickets on four AirFrance's routes from Paris. They are flights to Lyon, Marseille, Strasbourg, Toulouse and back.
This agreement can be considered as a sign of commercial liberalization of the Russian domestic air transportation market for European air carriers. It is a good trend, because the European market is being liberalized as well for the Russian air carriers. It is happening regardless of frozen transport dialog between Russia and the EU.
