11.12.2009 - Monument to Poet Rasul Gamzatov and Singer Muslim Magomayev to Appear in Moscow
Monuments to poet Rasul Gamzatov and singer Muslim Magomayev will be set up in the capital of Russia.
      The decision was taken at a sitting of the Moscow City Duma Committee for Monumental Art.
      The initiator of the monument to poet Rasul Gamzatov is the International Social Foundation in his name. The Committee supported the initiative and decided to set up the bust monument on the corner of Arkhangelski and Potapovski Lanes.
      The genre sculpture composition in memory of Muslim Magomayev will appear near the house where the singer used to live, not far from the Embassy of Azerbaijan.
